Why Do So Many Hate Each Other?

Why Do So Many Hate Each Other?

Why does it seem like there’s so many who hate each other?

It’s almost like there’s no one who get’s along with another?

The principles of love and forgiveness that Jesus commands…

Seems far too distant and forgotten across our land!

It could be a simple action, or something that was said.

And it’s almost someone acts as if you were dead.

We each have different personalities, faults and all!

It makes one wonder; “is loving others worth it, at all?”

No matter how much we try, someone will reject us!

It’s almost like they think they know all about us!

Too many are quick to make a speedy assumption!

And then hold unforgiveness based on a presumption!

I’m so glad that Jesus doesn’t treat us treat us the same way!

He’ll always love us, no matter what we do or say!

If he treated us, the way we are often treated and torn.

Then all of us would endure God’s wrath and scorn!

Praise be to God!  He’s made a way of holy salvation!

He is here right now!  And offers a heavenly invitation!

Whatever you’ve done…  Jesus’ blood can make you clean!

He’ll come inside your heart!

And forgive EVERYTHING!

Won’t you walk in the principles of God’s love and grace?

You can really make a difference!  All over the place!

Loving each other, with God’s love, is the place to be!

Then you will be an example of Christ, for all to see!

About the Poet
I and my wife have 4 grown children and currently live in the Pacific Northwest. I've spent much of my life doing volunteer work in the food distribution for the needy among local churches. Many of the poems I've written are a reflection of times of adversity as a reminder of God's love and faithfulness. I've found many opportunities to share my poems with those who are hurting and discouraged. I'm thankful for the reports of many of the poems touching people's lives. I hope that the poems included on Wordchimes will touch and bless your life too!
