Does Anyone Pray Anymore???

Does Anyone Pray Anymore???

Many times I wonder if anyone cares…

When it comes to the matter of prayer.

As we daily face an evil and wicked tide.

It seems like many people “run and hide.”

A “moment of silence,” is “today’s theme.”

But, does this silence really mean anything?

When it comes to prayer…

Are many ashamed?

To bow their head and

call on God’s name?

More and more this is, what I’m seeing.

Blessings from God…  Fewer are receiving!

Talking with God…  You needn’t be afraid!

There’s been a lot people who’ve prayed!

During these uncertain time we all face.

We need to seek God’s love, mercy and grace!

Having time with God,

is a good place to start.

Simply tell him…

Whatever’s on your heart!

Praying to God will bless you!

In all you endeavor!

God is the same God…  Today and forever!

His faithfulness and love,

 will never disappoint you!

Won’t you allow him to wrap

his arms around you?

About the Poet
I and my wife have 4 grown children and currently live in the Pacific Northwest. I've spent much of my life doing volunteer work in the food distribution for the needy among local churches. Many of the poems I've written are a reflection of times of adversity as a reminder of God's love and faithfulness. I've found many opportunities to share my poems with those who are hurting and discouraged. I'm thankful for the reports of many of the poems touching people's lives. I hope that the poems included on Wordchimes will touch and bless your life too!
