Let's Hold Each Other Accountable F

Let’s Hold Each Other Accountable For Jesus!

A father taught his son about

what Jesus says.

He wanted his son to follow him

all of his days.

He told his son to do as scripture tells us.

We need to be God’s example, as Christ tells us.

As the years went by, and his dad was older…

There was unforgiveness resting on his shoulder.

The father became very upset and angry within.

His son reminded him that

unforgiveness is sin.

The father didn’t listen as his son read

 from God’s word.

Inside of him there was a troubled

 spirit being stirred.

He decided to shun his son from his life that day on.

He blamed others for the things that were wrong.

This father who taught his son about God’s son…

Had a struggle in his life, but the victory wasn’t won.

His son prayed for his father for love and forgiveness.

He sought after a heart that was empty of bitterness.

He committed his dad to the Lord who doesn’t fail.

He sought the word of God, and this truth

would prevail!

Life often brings us into many different situations.

We needn’t forget about God’s love and salvation!

Whoever we are, may the word of God reach within.

May we hold each other accountable for ous sin.

Let’s encourage one another to be how

 God wants us to be!

Let’s walk in the kind of life Christ

 gave abundantly!

About the Poet
I and my wife have 4 grown children and currently live in the Pacific Northwest. I've spent much of my life doing volunteer work in the food distribution for the needy among local churches. Many of the poems I've written are a reflection of times of adversity as a reminder of God's love and faithfulness. I've found many opportunities to share my poems with those who are hurting and discouraged. I'm thankful for the reports of many of the poems touching people's lives. I hope that the poems included on Wordchimes will touch and bless your life too!
