Mr. Jones' Clam Chowder

Mr. Jones' Clam Chowder

Mr. Jones' clam chowder has

a flavor that will last!

You better have some now!

'Cause it ain't gonna last!

His clam chowder has a blend

that tastes so sweet!

Once he gets done fixin' it,

my meal is complete!

His chowder is about the best,

I ever tasted.

When I'm done with the bowl…

There ain't none wasted!

Thank you Mr. Jones!

Your chowder is mighty fine!

You have made it with a desire

for quality in mind!

The chowder almost makes me

wish I were at sea!

But then, folks may miss

the chowder more than me!

Thanks again Mr. Jones,

with a heartfelt smile!

Eating your chowder has made

dinner worth the while!

About the Poet
I and my wife have 4 grown children and currently live in the Pacific Northwest. I've spent much of my life doing volunteer work in the food distribution for the needy among local churches. Many of the poems I've written are a reflection of times of adversity as a reminder of God's love and faithfulness. I've found many opportunities to share my poems with those who are hurting and discouraged. I'm thankful for the reports of many of the poems touching people's lives. I hope that the poems included on Wordchimes will touch and bless your life too!
