A Brother Offended...

A Brother Offended...

"A brother offended is harder to

 reach than a fortified city."

It seems like many brothers

 dwell on their own "self-pity..."

Just look at how easy for most

 brothers to get offended.

Whether it's you.  Or someone

 they've befriended...

Many stop having anything

to do with a particular person.

They read God's word.  But fail to learn

 his  divine lesson...

Jesus said; "Blessed are you when you're

 cursed, persecuted and despised..."

So why do so many "brothers" hold

 "vengeance in their eyes???"

Is there someone you know...

That you've completely "shut out?"

Is this what being God's child...

 Is really all about???

If Christ really gave to us,

what we certainly deserve.

Than his blood's atonement,

  would not be preserved...

In spite of our sin and faults...

 God's heart bleeds...

He's so willing to forgive and to

 meet all of our needs!

Don't allow an offense to turn

into a "huge brick wall..."

Christ came to forgive...

And to be a sacrifice for all!

About the Poet
I and my wife have 4 grown children and currently live in the Pacific Northwest. I've spent much of my life doing volunteer work in the food distribution for the needy among local churches. Many of the poems I've written are a reflection of times of adversity as a reminder of God's love and faithfulness. I've found many opportunities to share my poems with those who are hurting and discouraged. I'm thankful for the reports of many of the poems touching people's lives. I hope that the poems included on Wordchimes will touch and bless your life too!
