Jesus, You Gave Me Your BEST!

Jesus, You Gave Me Your BEST!

Jesus, I come before you with a lot on my mind.

I know that you’ll listen…  You always have time!

Lately, I’ve had a lot of struggles and trials within.

I’ve been struggling under a huge load of sin.

No matter how much I go on Sunday

and look my “best.”

There’s a lot inside of me that’s

causing a lot of stress.

I asked for prayer, but don’t think others care.

At times, I’ve wondered if people want me there.

I need you Jesus!  I need your soul cleansing power!

I’m asking for your help, with each passing hour.

Please touch my mind and forgive my sinful ways.

Each day, I confess to you and give you all the praise!

You saved me from going down life’s

 “dead end road.”

You’re the only one whom can take

 my heavy load!

I can feel your presence and awesome

 love around me!

It wasn’t someone else, but your

 mercy that found me!

Thank you Lord for the work you’re going to do!

Thank you for helping me to be more like YOU!

I gave you a broken life and you

 gave your BEST!

You gave me forgiveness, healing and rest!

Your best is beyond my

 understanding or comprehension.

You’ve given me true joy through

 your mercy and salvation!

About the Poet
I and my wife have 4 grown children and currently live in the Pacific Northwest. I've spent much of my life doing volunteer work in the food distribution for the needy among local churches. Many of the poems I've written are a reflection of times of adversity as a reminder of God's love and faithfulness. I've found many opportunities to share my poems with those who are hurting and discouraged. I'm thankful for the reports of many of the poems touching people's lives. I hope that the poems included on Wordchimes will touch and bless your life too!
