Depend On Jesus

Depend on Jesus...

Many in church are spiritually

out of touch.”

By depending on their pastor

 so very much.

Spiritual warfare many don't understand.

Their pastor “can fight their battles”

--he's “Superman.”

No longer are many able

to hear God's voice.

They expect their pastor to

make “the right choice.”

Many work full time and do

the Sunday thing.”

Not realizing the emptiness

in their life this brings.

No more excuses—please—no more lies!

There must be a God-lovin',

Holy Ghost fire in our lives.

Your pastor cannot live your life—

only you can do it!

Your problems and trials—only Jesus

can see you through it!

No more man-made games

in God's house—his church.

Allow the Holy spirit in your

life to begin a new search.

A search for a life sacrificed for Jesus

your true king!

He alone is our Lord, our savior,

our everything!

About the Poet
I and my wife have 4 grown children and currently live in the Pacific Northwest. I've spent much of my life doing volunteer work in the food distribution for the needy among local churches. Many of the poems I've written are a reflection of times of adversity as a reminder of God's love and faithfulness. I've found many opportunities to share my poems with those who are hurting and discouraged. I'm thankful for the reports of many of the poems touching people's lives. I hope that the poems included on Wordchimes will touch and bless your life too!
