Have You Tried God Today?

I wonder about the things we all have tried?

Many good and bad have often been applied!

There are opportunities of so many kinds!

But, has the “wool been pulled over our blinds?”

If we try to live as is God doesn’t exist…

We’re asking for heartache, in our very midst!

If we’re just living, for the “moment of today…”

I hope you stop and think of what I’m going to say!

God is here! And provides a life that’s everlasting!

It can be y ours…  Simply for the asking!

Why not try the kind of life he wants you to have?

Everything else in life, Is “up for grabs!”

His way of living is the kind of like worth trying!

It’s a way of holiness and most satisfying!

The God today, is the same one as 2000 years ago!

It’s only in him, that you can be made WHOLE!

About the Poet
I and my wife have 4 grown children and currently live in the Pacific Northwest. I've spent much of my life doing volunteer work in the food distribution for the needy among local churches. Many of the poems I've written are a reflection of times of adversity as a reminder of God's love and faithfulness. I've found many opportunities to share my poems with those who are hurting and discouraged. I'm thankful for the reports of many of the poems touching people's lives. I hope that the poems included on Wordchimes will touch and bless your life too!
