What If Christ Said; "I Want Nothin
Viewed Last 24 Hours: 1 time

What If Christ Said; “I Want Nothing to Do With You?”

What if Christ said; “ I don’t nothing to do with you?”

“You offended me!”  “I know want to be with you!”

What if he counted your sins, and said; “you don’t measure up.”

“You’ve got me really angry.”  “And I’m simply fed up!”

What if Christ treated us, as we treat our brother?

Would there be any meaning in “loving one another?”

Aren’t you glad that Christ didn’t give up on you?

In spite of your sins and faults…  He still loves YOU!

Then why do we often build up “walls” as a defense?

Over something that happened…

We put up a fence.

We often choose those whom we’ll allow in. ..

And those we “kick out.”

Is this what being Christ’ example is really all about?

If you insist in bringing up someone’s list of wrongs…

Where, in God’s unfailing love, does this belong?

In God’s kingdom of heaven…

Why should he let you in?

If you can’t offer forgiveness for your brother’s sin?

Now’s the time for victory!  The battle’s been won!

Through the cross, and the blood of Jesus, God’s son!

If there’s someone you want nothing to do with…

Look around!

For where there is sin…

God’s grace does much more abound!

About the Poet
I and my wife have 4 grown children and currently live in the Pacific Northwest. I've spent much of my life doing volunteer work in the food distribution for the needy among local churches. Many of the poems I've written are a reflection of times of adversity as a reminder of God's love and faithfulness. I've found many opportunities to share my poems with those who are hurting and discouraged. I'm thankful for the reports of many of the poems touching people's lives. I hope that the poems included on Wordchimes will touch and bless your life too!
