Have You Taken the Time...

Have You Taken the Time?

Have you taken the time to tell

God how much you love him?

He is awesome and there is no greater

power that’s “above him”

Have you taken the time to tell

God how thankful you are.

The one who formed the earth,

the heavens and the stars…

Have you taken the time to

 thank him for his grace?

His beauty and glory are seen

all over the place…

Have you taken the time to meditate

on his words given?

The Bible needs to be the direction

for the way you’re livin’!

Have you taken the time to think

 about all that he’s done?

You’re here today because

of the sacrifice of his son!

Have you taken the time to think

 of his beautiful creation?

He rules above all kings,

presidents, or any nation…

Have you thought about the planets

in the heavens above?

All that we can see is a reflection

of his power and great love!

Have you thought about the relationship

 this God wants with you?

He’s waiting to come into your life.

What will you do?

Think for just a moment of heaven’s

special invitation…

Won’t you accept the Lord

and his free gift of salvation.?

Think about God’s gift of life that is

offered to you and me…

Christ can change you and give

you life abundantly!

About the Poet
I and my wife have 4 grown children and currently live in the Pacific Northwest. I've spent much of my life doing volunteer work in the food distribution for the needy among local churches. Many of the poems I've written are a reflection of times of adversity as a reminder of God's love and faithfulness. I've found many opportunities to share my poems with those who are hurting and discouraged. I'm thankful for the reports of many of the poems touching people's lives. I hope that the poems included on Wordchimes will touch and bless your life too!
