I Need to Surrender to God!

I Need To Surrender To God!

God told me I must surrender to him.

This was the day that I accepted him!

He said his path is a narrow one to follow.

But promised me to be there for me tomorrow!

He spoke to my heart and to my mind.

I could soon feel his hand in mine!

As I came before him and began to kneel…

His presence all around me, I could feel!

His gentle hand reached

out and touched me!

I could tell how much he loves me!

I cried out; “God I surrender

 everything to you!”

“God I want to say how much I LOVE YOU!”

These words I expressed were

 from my heart!

I was ready to give him a brand new start!

Thank you my God for loving me today!

I appreciate you more, than words can say!

The God I know can be your God too!

The choice is yours!

 What will you do???

About the Poet
I and my wife have 4 grown children and currently live in the Pacific Northwest. I've spent much of my life doing volunteer work in the food distribution for the needy among local churches. Many of the poems I've written are a reflection of times of adversity as a reminder of God's love and faithfulness. I've found many opportunities to share my poems with those who are hurting and discouraged. I'm thankful for the reports of many of the poems touching people's lives. I hope that the poems included on Wordchimes will touch and bless your life too!
