I Tried to Help the Best I Could!

I Tried To Help The Best Way I Could…

I tried to help others the best way I could.

Though many times I was misunderstood.

I tried to help some “get back on their feet.”

I knew that with God’s help, they’d be complete!

I remember the many times people weren’t thankful.

There were a lot who weren’t at all grateful!

The many times I’d travel on the road…

And share with others who had a “heavy load.”

I think about when Jesus was here and healed so many.

But those who thanked him...  There were hardly any!

It’s often difficult to do what Jesus wants us to do.

You just never know what others “are up to.”

No matter how much you try to share in love.

Often people are waiting to give you “a shove.”

I know that God knows your heart.  Just do your best!

No matter what others say...

God will take care of the rest!

Together, let’s share God’s love as he commands…

And spread his good news throughout the land!

God is a rewarder of those who diligently seek him.

Any problems or worries?  Just “put beneath him!”

With God’s help, let’s keep trying to reach out…

This is what Christ’ love in action is all about!

Look at the kindness of Christ...  Our friend!

He is what life is about and gives hope within!

About the Poet
I and my wife have 4 grown children and currently live in the Pacific Northwest. I've spent much of my life doing volunteer work in the food distribution for the needy among local churches. Many of the poems I've written are a reflection of times of adversity as a reminder of God's love and faithfulness. I've found many opportunities to share my poems with those who are hurting and discouraged. I'm thankful for the reports of many of the poems touching people's lives. I hope that the poems included on Wordchimes will touch and bless your life too!
