Only the Blood of Jesus Can Wash
Viewed Last 24 Hours: 3 times

Only the Blood of Jesus Can Wash Away My Sin!

The sins that I have…  There are so many.

Is there forgiveness for me?   Is there ANY?

The things I’ve done have often caused me shame.

I’ve been embarrassed when

others call my name.

The failures and mistakes,  do abound!

And often have a tendency to “pull me down.”

I’ve often felt “unlovable” with a discouraged mind.

It seems like my life, “is racing against time.”

I was told that Jesus loves me

and can make me whole.

How could someone like this love me?

I just don’t know.

How could a God who’s so

merciful and lovable…

Find anything inside of me,

that’s “valuable?”

I read in his word, that Jesus

purchased my life with his.

An abundant and eternal life, is what he freely gives!

Dear Jesus…  I ask you to come into

my life and wash it clean.

I ask you to be my Lord…  My righteousness.

 And everything!

For all of my failures, mistakes and sins...

I need your forgiveness and peace within!

Only YOU can restore my life through

your gift of salvation.

I give you my heart.  And an open invitation!

Thank you Lord!  For the work

that you’re going to do.

I want you to know how much I love

and appreciate YOU!

About the Poet
I and my wife have 4 grown children and currently live in the Pacific Northwest. I've spent much of my life doing volunteer work in the food distribution for the needy among local churches. Many of the poems I've written are a reflection of times of adversity as a reminder of God's love and faithfulness. I've found many opportunities to share my poems with those who are hurting and discouraged. I'm thankful for the reports of many of the poems touching people's lives. I hope that the poems included on Wordchimes will touch and bless your life too!
