Thank You Lord For The Reddings…

From the day we first met

Mr. and Mrs. Redding…

We knew that God’s love…

Through them…  Was spreading…

We remember when they first moved in

at the end of our street.

We were among the first neighbors

they were able to meet.

We’re thankful for the hospitality

they have shown.

By inviting common folks (like us)

 into their hearts and home.

May God’s blessings be upon their

 household as well…

And their every need…

God shall fulfill!

May God’s word continue

 to be their daily guide…

With the Lord in their family...

 They’re on “the winning side!”

May they seek and obey the Holy Spirit’s

 wisdom and correction.

No matter what road they take…

 Or what direction…

Thanks again for the love of Christ

you have openly shared.

And for being an example

Of someone that CARED!

May God bless you in all

that you say and do!

As we’re fortunate to know

 people like YOU!

About the Poet
I and my wife have 4 grown children and currently live in the Pacific Northwest. I've spent much of my life doing volunteer work in the food distribution for the needy among local churches. Many of the poems I've written are a reflection of times of adversity as a reminder of God's love and faithfulness. I've found many opportunities to share my poems with those who are hurting and discouraged. I'm thankful for the reports of many of the poems touching people's lives. I hope that the poems included on Wordchimes will touch and bless your life too!
