I Respect You...

       I Respect You…

Brother, I want to give you my

 love and respect,

This promise to you—

I’ll never forget.

It’s godly respect to you I extend,

and I’ll love you again

 and again.

You may get me angry

 a time or two,

but I still love and

 appreciate you!

And as we get older and

 the years go by,

You’ll always be the twinkle

 in God’s eye.

I hope you will know

 and understand,

I’ll be there for you with

an outstretched hand.

God will be our daily

and give each of us

 a deeper appreciation.

An appreciation of respect that

 will continually grow.

For God’s love in us will bring

 goodness to the soul.

About the Poet
I and my wife have 4 grown children and currently live in the Pacific Northwest. I've spent much of my life doing volunteer work in the food distribution for the needy among local churches. Many of the poems I've written are a reflection of times of adversity as a reminder of God's love and faithfulness. I've found many opportunities to share my poems with those who are hurting and discouraged. I'm thankful for the reports of many of the poems touching people's lives. I hope that the poems included on Wordchimes will touch and bless your life too!
