For All of My Wickedness, Guilt and

For All My Wickedness, Sin and Shame

For all my wickedness, sin and shame…

I’ve no one else, but myself to blame!

For all my life’s rights and wrongs…

Into God’s judgment, is where I belong!

For all that I’ve done and so much more,

My life is like one big “revolving door.”

For my failures and things left undone…

I come in repentance to God’s precious son!

Dear Lord, for the many sins I’ve committed…

I ask for your forgiveness,

 to have them “omitted.”

Dear Lord, for the many sins

 that “tie me down...”

I ask for your mercy and grace that abounds!

Dear Lord, I’m sorry for trying

to do this on my own!

I ask for your presence into my heart and home!

Dear Lord, Thank you for your gift of salvation!

In your Jesus, I can be a brand new creation!

Dear Lord, thanks for helping me to see…

It’s only in you, that I can be FREE!

Dear Lord, I clearly see and understand…

I need you!  And won’t let go of your hand!

About the Poet
I and my wife have 4 grown children and currently live in the Pacific Northwest. I've spent much of my life doing volunteer work in the food distribution for the needy among local churches. Many of the poems I've written are a reflection of times of adversity as a reminder of God's love and faithfulness. I've found many opportunities to share my poems with those who are hurting and discouraged. I'm thankful for the reports of many of the poems touching people's lives. I hope that the poems included on Wordchimes will touch and bless your life too!
