Godliness with Contentment...

Godliness With Contentment...

Are the riches in life what
you wish to obtain?
"Godliness with contentment
is of great gain.

Being content & Godly
is often difficult to do.
With the constant pleasures
of life alluring you.

How can one be content?
You may want to ask.
God never requires of you
an impossible task.

A peace beyond understanding
you shall find.
When you begin to walk
with a Christ-like mind.

The treasure in knowing
Jesus will abide well.
This brings joy unspeakable...
more than words can tell!

"Take the world but give me
" will be your cry.
As you realize; "all of your needs--
God shall supply.

True contentment comes from
falling in love with him.
His grace is sufficient for what
"feels empty within."

Don't strive for things that
are only temporary.
Enter God's haven of rest--
his sanctuary!

The joy of knowing Jesus will
bring peace to your soul.
By allowing him to bring restoration
& make you life whole!

About the Poet
I and my wife have 4 grown children and currently live in the Pacific Northwest. I've spent much of my life doing volunteer work in the food distribution for the needy among local churches. Many of the poems I've written are a reflection of times of adversity as a reminder of God's love and faithfulness. I've found many opportunities to share my poems with those who are hurting and discouraged. I'm thankful for the reports of many of the poems touching people's lives. I hope that the poems included on Wordchimes will touch and bless your life too!
