Something Hindered My Prayer!

Something Hindered My Prayer...

Something happened

when I went to pray.

Something hindered

What I was to say.

I went to call on Jesus' name.

But things weren’t

  the same."

I felt that I let the

 Holy Spirit down.

His presence in my prayer

 wasn’t to be found.

It must have been that

sin I let creep in.

I needed to be cleansed

before praying again.

Everything holding me down

 must get out.

It’s God's presence that

I don't want to be without!

Dear Jesus...  I confess

my every sin now.

To you I repent and

humbly bow.

May my prayers be renewed by the

 cleansing of your word.

And may your voice in my life...

 Once again be heard!

About the Poet
I and my wife have 4 grown children and currently live in the Pacific Northwest. I've spent much of my life doing volunteer work in the food distribution for the needy among local churches. Many of the poems I've written are a reflection of times of adversity as a reminder of God's love and faithfulness. I've found many opportunities to share my poems with those who are hurting and discouraged. I'm thankful for the reports of many of the poems touching people's lives. I hope that the poems included on Wordchimes will touch and bless your life too!
