Many Churches Embarrass Jesus' Holy
Viewed Last 24 Hours: 2 times

Many Churches Embarrass

  Jesus’ Holy Name!

Many churches are

 boring and dull.

Just look at the pews!

 They’re mostly full!

They say; "Just look at the

 size of our number!"

Not knowing that many are

in a "spirit of slumber."

Hey church!  It's about time you

listen to God's trumpet sound!

Let’s begin to preach the gospel

 of Jesus all around!

Perhaps this truth

needs to be told.

According to Revelation.

You're either hot or cold!

May Christ put in your heart

 a strtong desire.

To praise his name and

lift it up higher!

You're bought with a price.

 You're not our own!

Is it heaven or hell... That will be

your eternal home?

About the Poet
I and my wife have 4 grown children and currently live in the Pacific Northwest. I've spent much of my life doing volunteer work in the food distribution for the needy among local churches. Many of the poems I've written are a reflection of times of adversity as a reminder of God's love and faithfulness. I've found many opportunities to share my poems with those who are hurting and discouraged. I'm thankful for the reports of many of the poems touching people's lives. I hope that the poems included on Wordchimes will touch and bless your life too!
