Will Others Be Touched by My Prayer

Will Others Be Touched When I Pray?

I asked God if others will be touched when I pray.

He spoke to my heart, and said; “trust and obey”

I’ve been trying to obey him and follow HIS direction.

I want to trust him, when I need Godly correction.

There’s much more to this, than what I can see.

I really need to allow Christ to have his way in me.

If I truly desire to have my prayer life be effective.

When I spend time with God, I shouldn’t be “selective.”

I need to spend time with him, every chance I get.

I need to spend time in his word, lest I forget.

I should daily make a commitment to love him!

And with everything in my life, I need to trust him!

My prayers shouldn’t just be “spare of the moment.”

But to daily seek Christ’ blood’s atonement!

Lord Jesus, may my prayers reach out to others!

I pray that they would bless my sisters and brothers.

I ask you to stir a passion from within me!

May the power of your mercy strengthen me!

Thank you my lord, for listening to my request.

Spending time with you, is always the best!

May you be honored in the words

 I say and do…

So others would be encouraged

to also pray to YOU!

About the Poet
I and my wife have 4 grown children and currently live in the Pacific Northwest. I've spent much of my life doing volunteer work in the food distribution for the needy among local churches. Many of the poems I've written are a reflection of times of adversity as a reminder of God's love and faithfulness. I've found many opportunities to share my poems with those who are hurting and discouraged. I'm thankful for the reports of many of the poems touching people's lives. I hope that the poems included on Wordchimes will touch and bless your life too!
