Is It Biblical or Constitutional?

Is It Biblical or Constitutional?

This country of ours is becoming delusional.

This has to do with what’s “constitutional.”

It’s like judges try to set their own “rules.”

But in God’s eyes, many have become “fools.”

There’s debate over God’s commands displayed.

And where someone can or cannot pray.

There’s talk regarding church and state separation.

While the moral fabric is torn from this nation!

As this country chases false dreams and idols…

It’s like many are “scared” to read the bible!

It’s the Bible that needs to be our moral guide!

Without it, people get filled with arrogance and pride!

Let’s come back to studying and obeying the Bible 101!

Let’s live in honor to God the father, spirit and son!

We don’t a judge’s permission on how to live.

Let’s seek the Lord Jesus who’s willing to forgive!

It’ll be in God’s courtroom that we’ll stand someday.

Before God almighty…  What will you do or say?

God didn’t give you the constitution, but his word!

The commands he gives to all must be heard!

Without God’s commands, we’re doomed as a nation.

Without him, we carry on as a fallen and sinful creation!

Please God, come and revive our hearts to know you.

That we all would change our ways and serve you!

May the words; “In God we trust” be our foundation!

That your laws of freedom would again rule this nation!

About the Poet
I and my wife have 4 grown children and currently live in the Pacific Northwest. I've spent much of my life doing volunteer work in the food distribution for the needy among local churches. Many of the poems I've written are a reflection of times of adversity as a reminder of God's love and faithfulness. I've found many opportunities to share my poems with those who are hurting and discouraged. I'm thankful for the reports of many of the poems touching people's lives. I hope that the poems included on Wordchimes will touch and bless your life too!
