Can God Ever Forgive Ne?

Can God Ever Forgive Me Me?

I’ve done many things that I’m ashamed of…

Many sins I’ve had, that  I’m not proud of!

There’s been a lot of problems I’ve tried to shrug.

Too often I tried to “hide them under the rug.”

At the time I thought I was pretty cool.

This was what my “friends” would also do!”

As the sins I committed began to come out.

I began to question what life is really about???

Not thinking about what consequences they would bring.

I too often had my mind on other things!

I wanted things that would bring instant satisfaction.

I would rush into things, with no reservations!

I wish I had listened to what

my parents told me…

I neglected the Godly instructions

in how they raised me!

My life now seems to be racing down a slippery slope.

So many times I wonder if there

 is any kind of hope.

Can God help me now?  Or is it too late?

Will my life end up in a dreadful fate?

Dear Jesus, I humbly come to you and confess…

Please take me now, I’m a HUGE mess!

Many of my days have been dark and sad…

I need true peace and joy that I never had!

I know you can totally change my life from within!

Please restore me so I can be

BORN AGAIN!

In YOU I find wholeness from my head to my feet.

It’s only in YOU that I can be

COMPLETE!

About the Poet
I and my wife have 4 grown children and currently live in the Pacific Northwest. I've spent much of my life doing volunteer work in the food distribution for the needy among local churches. Many of the poems I've written are a reflection of times of adversity as a reminder of God's love and faithfulness. I've found many opportunities to share my poems with those who are hurting and discouraged. I'm thankful for the reports of many of the poems touching people's lives. I hope that the poems included on Wordchimes will touch and bless your life too!
