Parents Need to Be in Church with T

Parents Need to Be in Church with Their Children…

Parents bring their kids to church…

Hoping they’ll be a “better person.”

They want them to hear about God.

And listen to the “Sunday lesson.”

They tell their children to listen

and obey God’s ways.

But you’ll never see their parents

at church on Sundays!

They’re “too busy” to spend time with God...

 Even at home.

Then tell their children they love them.

And often leave them alone.

Their parents don’t want to take the time

to give them their attention.

They want the Sunday school teacher to give

 them a “moral direction.”

Parents need to be the man and woman

 God wants them to be!

They need to have Christian principles

that their children can see!

Won’t you be there for your children

and help them to understand…

What it means to be a Christian.

And to be a Godly woman or man!

It’s Christ’ desire that  parents

 be a Godly example!

There’s just too many temptations

 for your kids to handle!

Living for God…  As a family…

Is the best thing you can do!

Christ stands at your heart’s door…

The rest is up to YOU!

About the Poet
I and my wife have 4 grown children and currently live in the Pacific Northwest. I've spent much of my life doing volunteer work in the food distribution for the needy among local churches. Many of the poems I've written are a reflection of times of adversity as a reminder of God's love and faithfulness. I've found many opportunities to share my poems with those who are hurting and discouraged. I'm thankful for the reports of many of the poems touching people's lives. I hope that the poems included on Wordchimes will touch and bless your life too!
