How Can One Follow Christ and Be
Viewed Last 24 Hours: 1 time

How Can One Follow Christ...

And be “Non-Sociable?”

I was talking to a believer who

was “non-negotiable.”

He made it very clear to me

 he was “non-sociable.”

He talked about his involvement

 in church activities.

Going to the mid-week groups

 and other “festivities…”

Can’t one spend a few minutes

 with someone they don’t know?

What about reaching the unsaved…

  The many lost souls?

How can someone follow Christ,

and yet claim to be “non-social?”

Shouldn’t Christ be our first love?

 Our passion and focal?

What really was the message of Christ’

 death on the cross?

Was it not to preach salvation

to those whom are lost?

If you’re a follower of Christ, and have

 missed his love’s true meaning.

Perhaps you need to focus on the cross

 and what it’s revealing

The message of our Lord is evident

 and rings loud and clear.

He could come at any moment.

 His coming is so near!

May our hearts be stirred with

 a Godly passion and zeal...

That our love for others will be

 evident and REAL!

About the Poet
I and my wife have 4 grown children and currently live in the Pacific Northwest. I've spent much of my life doing volunteer work in the food distribution for the needy among local churches. Many of the poems I've written are a reflection of times of adversity as a reminder of God's love and faithfulness. I've found many opportunities to share my poems with those who are hurting and discouraged. I'm thankful for the reports of many of the poems touching people's lives. I hope that the poems included on Wordchimes will touch and bless your life too!
