Run From Temptation... To Jesus!

Run from Temptation To Jesus!

When Joseph was tempted…  He remembered

 the God he served.

This same God gave him MUCH MORE than

 he would ever deserve.

He thought of his vows to God.

He wanted to remain holy.

I’m sure to Potiphar’s wife, this seemed

like a lot of “baloney.”

She wanted to be intimate him… and held on tight!

But Joseph knew in his heart, this wasn’t at all RIGHT!

There was one thing to do.  He knew it and understood.

He resisted her and ran away as fast as he could!

There’s a lesson to be learned here.  It’s a lesson for all.

Though sin is “fun” for a moment.  It will lead to a FALL!

The beauty of this world does it very best to allure us!

In the end, it’s Satan himself who tries his best to fool us!

If the temptation of sin seems to have it’s web around you!

Run to Jesus FAST, and let his loving arms surround you.

Meditate on his holy word and allow it to daily sink in.

Obey his words of life and let them guard you from sin!

Living a holy life for Jesus, at times, seems very hard to do!

But greater than this world is the one inside of YOU!

Take time and allow the power of God

 to strengthen your soul!

Seek a victorious life in Jesus, being made

satisfied and whole!

Genesis 39:1 One day he went into the house to attend to his duties, and none of the household servants was inside. 12 She caught him by his cloak and said, “Come to bed with me!” But he left his cloak in her hand and ran out of the house.

About the Poet
I and my wife have 4 grown children and currently live in the Pacific Northwest. I've spent much of my life doing volunteer work in the food distribution for the needy among local churches. Many of the poems I've written are a reflection of times of adversity as a reminder of God's love and faithfulness. I've found many opportunities to share my poems with those who are hurting and discouraged. I'm thankful for the reports of many of the poems touching people's lives. I hope that the poems included on Wordchimes will touch and bless your life too!
