Is This Where God Wants Me to Be?

Which church is really here for me?

Is this where God wants me to be?

Many claim to be “Holy Spirit led.”

Where can I actually be biblically fed?

I'm sure there's many good

churches  “pretending.”

But, often, it’s a “different”

gospel they’re defending!

Rather than just me doing

"the church thing."

lost souls for Jesus we're

commanded to bring.

Churches must preach repentance

and holiness throughout!

This is what true Christianity

is all about!

Church's ministry must certainly extend,

beyond those people that we call our "friend."

We must reach out to those lost

and oppressed,

For JESUS, we're to do our very best!

Only the truth of God’s word

can change our soul!

If we're to one day make

heaven our goal!

About the Poet
I and my wife have 4 grown children and currently live in the Pacific Northwest. I've spent much of my life doing volunteer work in the food distribution for the needy among local churches. Many of the poems I've written are a reflection of times of adversity as a reminder of God's love and faithfulness. I've found many opportunities to share my poems with those who are hurting and discouraged. I'm thankful for the reports of many of the poems touching people's lives. I hope that the poems included on Wordchimes will touch and bless your life too!
