Jesus, I Give You All That I Have!

Jesus, I Give You All That I Have!

I’ve nothing to offer to Jesus, but a life of ashes.

It’s almost like I feel “stuck in molasses.”

I’ve nothing to offer to God but “utter failure.”

I haven’t offered him a simple prayer.

I have life that’s been falling apart.

I cry out to Jesus from a wounded heart.

I blame myself for everything that’s wrong.

I’ve  began to feel like I don’t belong.

I begin each day with a lot of  hesitation.

And don’t feel any of love or appreciation.

Those close to me have left me behind.

There’s not a single “friend” I can find!

Just when everything seems to fail me.

Jesus was there and his love began to surround me!

“Lord, please help me.” Is what I’ve spoken.

My life was coming apart,   I felt empty and broken!

Jesus reached down and took a hold of my hand!

And told me everything I go through...  He understands!

Day by day he brought to me a peace I never knew!

Putting my life back together was what he wanted to do!

As I read his word, his spirit renewed my mind.

A precious friend in HIM…  I was able to find!

His love is the “glue” that's mended my broken pieces.

He brought to my life a brand new completeness!

He restored me and gave to me so much more!

He truly is what living my life is meant for!

He is and will always be the Lord for me!

And can do the same for you!  Most certainly!

About the Poet
I and my wife have 4 grown children and currently live in the Pacific Northwest. I've spent much of my life doing volunteer work in the food distribution for the needy among local churches. Many of the poems I've written are a reflection of times of adversity as a reminder of God's love and faithfulness. I've found many opportunities to share my poems with those who are hurting and discouraged. I'm thankful for the reports of many of the poems touching people's lives. I hope that the poems included on Wordchimes will touch and bless your life too!
