We Won't Make Heaven, If We Don't F

We Won’t Make Heaven,

If We Don’t Forgive Another!

I know someone who says he’s a Christian.

The way he talks, there remains a suspicion.

How can a Godly person talk the way he does?

Is he being an example of the God he loves?

The way he talks about others,

 is at times, incredible.

Especially when you hear

of the “unforgiveable.”

The way he puts down his ex and others too.

Is this the way a Christian ought to do?

I don’t care how spiritual someone claims to be!

The Bible speaks of forgiveness for you and me!

If there’s one we can’t forgive, we’re not forgiven!

I don’t care how “mighty” of a life you’re livin’!

Lately, I’m convicted after reading the Bible.

Whatever we say and do, we’re held liable!

One day we’ll all be before God’s judgment throne.

We’ll give an account for all we do in and out of home!

Will Christ say; “depart from me!”

 “I never knew you.”

“You never forgave the person

 I put there with you!”

What a somber experience it’s going to be.

To think of those we didn’t forgive

will spend eternity!

May this be a sober conviction

 and wake up call!

Walking in Christ’ love and forgiveness

 is WORTH IT ALL!

About the Poet
I and my wife have 4 grown children and currently live in the Pacific Northwest. I've spent much of my life doing volunteer work in the food distribution for the needy among local churches. Many of the poems I've written are a reflection of times of adversity as a reminder of God's love and faithfulness. I've found many opportunities to share my poems with those who are hurting and discouraged. I'm thankful for the reports of many of the poems touching people's lives. I hope that the poems included on Wordchimes will touch and bless your life too!
