Don't Say God!

“Don’t Say God.”

A bill Called; “don’t say God,”

passed the Senate floor.

It appears that: “in God we trust,”

means nothing anymore.

Talking about God, to many, has no

“purpose or meaning.”

“In God we trust;” many are no

longer believing.

Many took upon themselves “a new

motto of the day.”

They’ve heard  about God… But choose

 To not listen or obey.

It’s no wonder why our country is in

the mess that it’s in.

As more people refuse God and shake

their fist at HIM.

They try to get rid of him completely

and have become fools.

As they come up with their new agenda

and “morality rules.”

We need him so much! As many sin

and fall into depravity.

It’s like our country has an infected “moral cavity.”

Though God’s commandments seem

to have disappeared…

His judgment is coming and is so very near.

Let’s take the time to listen to him

and his beckoning call…

One day very soon, we’ll realize we

needed him after all!

Only fools say in their hearts, “There is no God.” They are corrupt, and their actions are evil; not one of them does good!  Psalm 14:1

About the Poet
I and my wife have 4 grown children and currently live in the Pacific Northwest. I've spent much of my life doing volunteer work in the food distribution for the needy among local churches. Many of the poems I've written are a reflection of times of adversity as a reminder of God's love and faithfulness. I've found many opportunities to share my poems with those who are hurting and discouraged. I'm thankful for the reports of many of the poems touching people's lives. I hope that the poems included on Wordchimes will touch and bless your life too!
