Christ Can Heal Broken Relationship

Christ Can Heal Broken Relationships!

“I want nothing to do with that person,” is often said.

It’s almost like many want another to “drop dead.”

How many believers of Jesus, have said this so very often.

They don’t know the kind of forgiveness

 that he taught them!

Often, there’s a harsh word said and clearly spoken.

Leaving another heart ripped apart and broken.

I suppose this is man’s way of dealing with relationships.

This can affect everyone and strains many friendships.

I’m sure there’s people that I have offended too!

At times, it’s frustrating knowing really what to do!

If there are those that I want nothing to do with.

I have to ask myself; “who is it that I want to be with?”

Christ was rejected by many who said they loved him.

A loving and forgiving savior, is what he showed them!

If we can’t bless those who may persecute and abuse us…

Can Christ really give us his love…  And use us?

Just think how many of us have brought Christ shame!

We’ve all sinned!  And are unworthy of his name!

What if he discarded us?  The same way we do to others?

Then there’d be no meaning in the words;

 “love one another.”

It’s time we seek God’s victory over whoever has hurt us!

And seek God’s compassion, so his love can touch us!

May his love reach down and cause a stirring within…

To pray and love those, who may not be our friend.

May we glorify Christ in the things we do and say!

And walk in the power of his forgiveness today!

About the Poet
I and my wife have 4 grown children and currently live in the Pacific Northwest. I've spent much of my life doing volunteer work in the food distribution for the needy among local churches. Many of the poems I've written are a reflection of times of adversity as a reminder of God's love and faithfulness. I've found many opportunities to share my poems with those who are hurting and discouraged. I'm thankful for the reports of many of the poems touching people's lives. I hope that the poems included on Wordchimes will touch and bless your life too!
