Mother's Day, Will Never Be The Same

by Jean Mollett

Mother's Da  Will Never Be The Same.
Many will celebrate that special day each year,
for some it will not quite be the same. For they
are without their Mothers now, longing for them.
There could be many reasons why. Love You, Mom.
Mother's Day, Will Never Be The Same.

Mother's Day Will Never Be The Same. For I too
am experiencing this lately, feeling kinda at a
lost. There seems to be something missing now, when
I look into her eyes. Her spark for life, her zest
to do or go places is gone. Love You, Mom.
Mother's Day Will Never Be The Same.

Mother's Day, Will Never Be The Same.
How I miss your smile and laughter, rapidly
decreasing. Knowing sooner or later, you'll be
changing even more. Crawling up into an empty shell,
your mind, body will not longer be yours. You
will even forget who you are, forget others, and
me. Won't be able to call out my name, cause you
don't remember. It's too much. Love You, Mom.
Mother's Day Will Never Be The Same.

Author's Note: Hadn't thought about it til now. Things are changing too fast. How will Mother's Day be later on? I'm not sure about this one, maybe I shouldn't write it.

About the Poet
I'm married. I am a grandmother. I love poetry, reading and writing it. Someone inspired me to start writing poetry again. That person is my Pastor.
