Sunsets

One summer evening last year. There was a red
sun that evening. I was at the kitchen window,
looking outside, the sun was starting to set.
I noticed the sky was looking pink, then I saw
blue. My husband was still working outside. I
stopped what I was doing, went outside. I saw
some purple, mostly pink, blue, it was so beautiful.
I whirled around to see the sky was all lit up,
as far to the right as I could see.

One summer evening last year. There was a red sunset
that evening. I told my husband, look at this sunset.
then I looked from the right, followed the colors to
where the sun was setting. It was so beautiful, the
colors combine, bright from the sun. Some a little
dark. I looked all around the sky, it was lit up from
the sunset. It was a glorious site, brilliant colors.
I'll never forget it, I stood there for the longest
time. I thought, thank you Lord for such a beautiful
sunset.

One summer evening, last year. There was a red sunset
that evening. This sunset stood out from others I
have seen. I got wrapped up in the sunset, didn't
think about the camera. I'ld love to see an Artist
paint that sunset, it would have been some picture.
I keep watching the sunsets, specailly when I see
different colors.
Thank you, Lord for such a beautiful sunset.

About the Poet
I'm married. I am a grandmother. I love poetry, reading and writing it. Someone inspired me to start writing poetry again. That person is my Pastor.
