Getting Shorter
Viewed Last 24 Hours: 1 time

By J. Mollett
Other Poems by J. Mollett

When I started writing poetry again, I started
out with a new red pencil. I won it at a Valentine's
Party at church, 2 events in one. Everyone had a grand
time, games, etc. Snacks, drinks, just being ourselves.
Getting shorter.

I can still use the extra eraser on it, it's just
getting shorter. I already have another new pencil
picked out, sitting in my pencil cup. Along with my
red pen, ready to go when I need it. My red pencil
is getting shorter.
Getting shorter.

About the Poet
I'm married. I am a grandmother. I love poetry, reading and writing it. Someone inspired me to start writing poetry again. That person is my Pastor.
