A Brown Creeper Moved into My Shed

A Brown Creeper Moved into My Shed

A Brown Creeper moved into my shed,
I've heard a rustling sound. Never
saw what it was, the last couple
of times I was in there. My hubby
went out to the shed, to straighten
some things out. He mentioned before
about seeing a bird fly out after he
entered the shed. He finally found the
nest this afternoon, a small army nap
sack. The flap is folded back inside
and outer flaps are standing up against
the straps.

A Brown Creeper moved into my shed,
I went out to see where it was. Sure
enough she's got a small nest in there
with four brown spotted eggs, very little.
I could see the outer part of the nest, but
it was too dark to see the nest. Four little
spotted eggs, not sure what the rest of the
nest looks like. I saw the little bird fly
out when I touched the bottom of the bag.

A Brown Creeper moved into my shed,
She's brown, seems to be smaller than the
sparrows. With a long thin beak, with a
slight curve to it. I didn't get to really
look at her good, looked in the bird book.
Hopefully I'll get to see her better.
Later there will be four little ones.
She'll really be busy after they hatch
out.

About the Poet
I'm married. I am a grandmother. I love poetry, reading and writing it. Someone inspired me to start writing poetry again. That person is my Pastor.
