Victory in Jesus

(An old hymn I love to sing.)

1. I heard an old, old story, how a Savior came from glory,

2. I heard about His healing, of His cleansing pow'r revealing,

3. I heard about a mansion He has built for me in glory.

    How he gave His life on Calvary to save a wrench like me.

    How He made the lame to walk again and caused the blind to see.

    And I heard about the streets of gold beyond the crystral sea.

   I heard about His groaning, of His precious blood's atoning.

   And then I cried, "Dear Jesus, come and heal my broken spirit";

   About the angels singing, and the old redemption story;

   Then I repented of my sins and won the victory.

   And  somehow Jesus came and brought to me the victorry.

   And some sweet day I'll sing up there the song of victory.

    O  victory  in Jesus, my Savior forever!

    He sought me nad bought me with his redemm-ng blood.

    He loved me ere I knew Him, and all my love is due HIm.

    He plunged me to vic-to-ry be-neath the cleansing flood.

     Author's Notes:

      This is my second favorite song.

About the Poet
I'm married. I am a grandmother. I love poetry, reading and writing it. Someone inspired me to start writing poetry again. That person is my Pastor.
