This Is The Way We Shred Our Paper, Shred Our Paper...

by Jean Mollett

This is the way we shred our paper,
shred our paper, shred our paper,
this is the way we shred our paper
so early in the morning, noon and night.

This is the way we shred our paper,
A pile, pile here and pile, pile there,
here pile, there pile, everywhere pile,
pile. This is the way we shred our paper
so early in the morning, noon and night.

This is the way we shred our paper,
a tear, tear here and rear, tear there,
here tear, there tear, everywhere tear,
tear. This is the way we shred our paper,
so early in the morning, noon and night.

This is the way we shred our paper,
shred our papers, shred our paper,
this is the way we shred our paper
so early in the morning, noon and night.

Author's Note: Papers everywhere, it's time to quit. I got the idea from when I started sorting thru some old papers and started using my paper shredder. I was going to use the sound in it, but I haven't got it quite right yet. I figured mine sounded like: A chain saw, made in a miniature form. Instead of blades, tiny little teeth, just grinding away on paper. I know it's silly, but it has it's own humor about it.

About the Poet
I'm married. I am a grandmother. I love poetry, reading and writing it. Someone inspired me to start writing poetry again. That person is my Pastor.
