A Gloomy Rainy Day

A Gloomy Rainy Day

A gloomy rainy day, looking outside hoping to see
a peek at the sun. It looks so yucky, so dreary
outside, some fog trying to creep in.

A gloomy rainy day, too wet and messy outside.
good for reading, writing, watching tv, I hear
from my husband, good sleeping weather.

A gloomy rainy day, can't really complain,
we're getting much rain really needed. Some
areas are getting too much rain, causes flooding.

A gloomy rainy day, I pray that it doesn't get
bad anywhere. At least it's not thundering,
lightning, a bad storm.

A gloomy rainy day, seeing the sun would be nice,
even if it just pops in and out for awhile. To
brighten up things. Gives a warm feeling.

Editorial note: Drought in this area demands rain! Gloomy days or no! LOL! Que

About the Poet
I'm married. I am a grandmother. I love poetry, reading and writing it. Someone inspired me to start writing poetry again. That person is my Pastor.
