" WE WILL BEAR THE NAME AMERICAN
WITH DIGNITY AND HONOR,
AND DEFEND IT'S INTEGITY AT ALL COSTS,
WE BELIEVE IN THIS NATION UNDER GOD,
BORN IN TEARS,
MAINTAINED BY THE BLOOD
OF THOSE WHO GAVE THIER LIVES
IN SERVICE AND LOVE,
THIS IS OUR COUNTRY ---
TOGETHER WITH GOD,
WE MUST CARRY HIS FLAG OF FREEDOM
TO ALL PEOPLES, LANDS AND NATIONS,
UNTIL WE CAN REST IN PEACE
IN OUR FINAL VICTORY HOME---
FREE AT LAST."

Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.
2 CORINTHIANS 3:17

This was on our Worship folder this morning at church.
The folder has the United States flag on it with the
Eagles head showing. Sorry, I had no way to put that on
it. I thought I would share it with everyone. It's
Memorial Day Monday.

My added thoughts.

As we go on about our daily deeds for this
weekend, stop for a momment or two, or three.
To remember others that can not be here with us
on this day. Add them to our prayers, our soldiers,
our country. And yes, the innocent people over there
in the war we're fighting. 'Specially the children,
cause they only know what war is, not being able to
be a child.
They only know what war is and not being
what a child should be. We, adults, can adjust to it,
but a child will be scarred for life. Think about it!!
Just hope and pray how soon it will really be over
and our troops are safely back home in our arms once
again to stay. So many will never be home again.
We tend to take everything for granted, our freedom,
life, materials things. The countries over there
doesn't have the luxury we have here.

Think about it, think about it.
Give thanks with a Grateful Heart.

About the Poet
I'm married. I am a grandmother. I love poetry, reading and writing it. Someone inspired me to start writing poetry again. That person is my Pastor.
