She Looks Like a Fragile China Doll

She Looks Like a Fragile China Doll

She looks like a fragile china doll,

while I was visiting both of my parents.

I couldn't believe how fragile Mom looked lying in her bed.

Sitting on her bed, she would just stare at me, not say a word.

Just staring out into outer space, like she's in another world.

So pale, so pitful, not speaking very many words at all.

She  looks like a fragile china doll.

She looks like a fragile china doll,

we speak to her and others will too, still not much response.

very seldom will you hear much out of her, maybe a word.

Mom's to the place she's not responding anymore to anything.

It's heart breaking to see her like this, just looks at ya and nothing.

Looking into her pretty blue eyes deeply, she's not there, just blank.

She looks like a fragile china doll.

Author's Notes:

Mom's eating a little bit more and drinking

thick fluids now, with the help of medicine and

feeding her. Still not like she should.

About the Poet
I'm married. I am a grandmother. I love poetry, reading and writing it. Someone inspired me to start writing poetry again. That person is my Pastor.
