When Someone's Grieving

When Someone's Grieving
When someone's grieving,
sometimes you're not really sure what
to say or do. Each person handles it
in his own way, reacts differently.
Some may celebrate at a person's death,
not like funeral, have a party. But the
life and the way that person meant to them.
By celebrating their death, instead of
crying. For to honor them at their end.
For that is yet to be seen, unusal.
When someone's grieving.

When someone's grieving,
I guess it could be good in ways. 'Til
awhile back, my best friend's husband passed
away. I had leanrt something, very important.
I had kinda felt uneasy at times, trying to
watch myself, what I'd say. You want to say
something about the person. With my best
friend Louise, I have leanrt it's okay to
talk with her about EJ, her husband. Being
there for her, in an hour of need. Praying
for her, with her, giving lots of Hugs.
Adding her to the prayer list at church.
When someone's grieving.

When someone's grieving,
at first I did speak of him with her. Hearing
her voice getting weak, starting to cry. I kinda
backed away for awhile. Not wanting to hurt her
more, I waited to see how she's feeling first. I
stayed in touch with her closely, checking on her.
Letting her know, call me if ya need me, if ya want
to just talk. It wasn't long after that, I got a call
from her. We had a long chat, both of us were crying.
She told me that really helped her. Then shortly
after that she moved away from the area. That
was really hard to see her move away. We chat
on the phone sometimes. I miss her not
being closer to me. A lesson well leanrt.
When someone's grieving.

Author's Note:
That helps me also, I felt a
little more at ease. You feel
at a loss, you want to help more.
Sometimes, ya have to step back a bit.
Just being there, is alot of comfort
and help. Letting them know you care.

When Someone's Grieving.

About the Poet
I'm married. I am a grandmother. I love poetry, reading and writing it. Someone inspired me to start writing poetry again. That person is my Pastor.
