Be Careful What You Wish For

by Jean Mollett

Be careful what you wish for,
cause you may just get it. And
than again, you may get
something you don't want.
Be careful what you wish for.

Be careful what you wish for,
always wishing you had this or that.
Or wanting some one else's woman or man,
you may get it. But, at what cost to all?
Be careful what you wish for.

Be careful what you wish for,
life's too short to waste it on petty or
material things. Just be happy with what
one has and who they are. Then if possible,
better themselves.
Be careful what you wish for.

Author's Note: One shouldn't covet what another has, cause afterall it's a sin.

About the Poet
I'm married. I am a grandmother. I love poetry, reading and writing it. Someone inspired me to start writing poetry again. That person is my Pastor.
