Glory O' Glory

Glory O' Glory

Glory O' Glory,

With your flag of three colors,

red, white and blue.

Stands out so brightly and boldly,

blowing in the winds,

is such a beauitful display.

Glory O' Glory.

Glory O' Glory,

seeing flags hang on the post of homes,

you know, your home sweet home.

The Statue of Liberty is the land mark

for our country, United States.

For our soldiers that is the best thing

in the world to see, as they arrive.

They know they're  back, home sweet home.

Glory O' Glory.

Glory O' Glory,

she is always needed.

When diseaster strikes, she goes half staff.

We honor our dead with her,

covering the caskets as they go by.

Folded so gracefully and handed down to

the loved ones left behind.

So you see, she's always needed.

Her tender, loving touch.

Glory O'Glory.

About the Poet
I'm married. I am a grandmother. I love poetry, reading and writing it. Someone inspired me to start writing poetry again. That person is my Pastor.
