Lord, I'm So Sorry!!

by Jean Mollett

Lord, I'm so sorry,
even though I had strayed away from you
before. You were always there, never giving
up on me, nor forsaking me. Even though I
wasn't in church all the time, I never
really let go of you fully. Still with me.
Lord, I'm so sorry!!

Lord, I'm so sorry,
to see that so many still doubt your Love
for them. Will not come into your presence and
open up their hearts, mind, spirit and soul to you.
Do they not realize what you've done for them? You
have taken our sins and borne our shame and was
beaten, place upon a Cross. To save and heal us.
With all that, you are still criticized.
People are still turning away from you, Lord.
Lord, I'm so sorry.

And I am so Glad you're still around.
Never to leave us at all, loving us.

Lord, I'm so glad,
your presence is all around us. I could
somehow sense someone watching over and taking
care of me. Angels from above and Angles here
on our Precious Earth, the world your Heavenly
Father created for us. With everything that was
created, shows just how much love he has for us.
Lord, you have shown so much love and passion for
everyone. They just don't understand the real true
meaning of you being put on the Cross has done for
us. The true meaning of Christmas, the day of
your Precious birth. Thank you, my Lord, thank you.
I'm here to stay, not wanting you out of my life.
Lord, I'm so glad.

Author's Note: This came to me late Monday night. I was relaxing, a little while before bed. I was stilling in my chair and my feet upon the bed. It came to me and I thought to myself, Jesus, I'm So Sorry!! I was thinking, I'm not sure what I'll say. But, now here it is. I did change the last paragraph a little, the first two lines. It may need some more work.

About the Poet
I'm married. I am a grandmother. I love poetry, reading and writing it. Someone inspired me to start writing poetry again. That person is my Pastor.
