Leave Your HEAVY Burdens

by Jean Mollett

Leave your Heavy burdens,
carrying this load on your shoulders.
Saying I don't need anybody,
I can do this all on my own.

Leave your HEAVY burdens,
going through life with so much,
on the mind, heart, body and soul.
I can do this all on my own.

Leave your HEAVY burdens,
your body grows so tired and weary.
Still saying I don't need anybody,
I can do this all on my own.

Leave your HEAVY burdens,
don't be afraid to knock on Jesus's door.
Come and seek Him, leave your HEAVY burdens,
at His feet, leave it in His hands.

10/12/2007

Author's Note: We can't do it all on our own, we need to seek and we shall find Him. Let Him remove your HEAVY burdens. Let Jesus carry the load, he has big shoulders.

About the Poet
I'm married. I am a grandmother. I love poetry, reading and writing it. Someone inspired me to start writing poetry again. That person is my Pastor.
