Tender Moments

Tender moments: to watch a mother bird feeding
her young; a mother feeding her baby;
Looking into the face of a child;
Watching a child discover something new for the
first time;
Watching a flower open it's petals.

Tender moments: seeing children get a new home
by being adopted,
Seeing them come to life with a new loving family;
A mother cleaning scratched knee, bandage it,
kiss it, make it all better;
A big hug and the words, "it will be okay."
"I Love You";
Daddy's kiss is okay, but Mommy's is more
special healing.

Tender Moments: looking into a childs eyes,
how beautiful, they steal your heart.
A big smile and hug, then run off to play.
Children learning about Jesus, loving him.
Someone coming into the presence of the Lord,
bringing him into their lives.
Children playing, running thru leaves having fun.

Tender moments: watching children coming up to
Santa Clause. Watching them open presents in a big
group, Bows, wrapping,boxes flying everywhere,
plenty of excitement.
Children, with puppies, kittens, playing together.
Taking pictures with them asleep on Grandma's or
Grandpa's lap.

Tender moments: oh so many more to mention.
It would take a book to write them all.
Many more; Tender moments
for all to remember,look back on and enjoy.

About the Poet
I'm married. I am a grandmother. I love poetry, reading and writing it. Someone inspired me to start writing poetry again. That person is my Pastor.
