Sorting Out Emotions and Feeling Lost at Times

by Jean Mollett

As the hands on the clock move,
time flys by so fast. So does life,
slow down a little, before it's gone.
Emotions going full speed ahead, trying
to keep it in check. It's like a roller
coaster out of control, up and down, 'til
it runs off the tracks. Feeling lost and
reaching out for help.
Sorting out emotions and feeling lost at times.

Still searching, yearning for something,
not willing to give up. Sometimes we want
to give up. But don't, fight it. No one
said it would it easy. Some may reach for
material things not good for the body.
Many will reach out to our Lord for guidance
and strength. Friends are wonderful too.
Sorting out emotions and feeling lost at times.

It's not good to hold it in, let it out.
Go to a gym and use the punching bag. Or
use it to do something good to help someone
else. Both are good for the body, mind, soul
and spirit. You'll feel so much better about
yourself and others.
Sorting out emotions and feeling lost at times.

Author's Note: I guess we all have been through some pretty rough times. It's been a blessing to me, the Lord with me, my family and specially my friends. I have tried to keep postive about everything, it's not easy at times. Somtimes to laugh helps too, instead of crying so much. That's why it's best to write it down too, helps to get it off ones chest. I hope this makes some sense to ya.

About the Poet
I'm married. I am a grandmother. I love poetry, reading and writing it. Someone inspired me to start writing poetry again. That person is my Pastor.
