Sometimes Death Can Be a Blessing

Sometimes Death Can Be a Blessing

Sometimes death can be a blessing,

as a child I didn't know what it was like being

around anyone dying.  I visited my uncle Tom; We were

kept busy. It was afterward at the funeral home I saw them.

For a child something like that is very scary.

Sometimes death can be blessing.

Sometimes death can be a blessing,

years later as a young adult, I didn't see it that way.

'Til I started working in a hospital with patients,

then somehow with the Lord's Grace, I was growing.

The message was becoming more clear to me.

Sometimes death can be a blessing.

Sometimes death can be a blessing,

after working there for awhile on other floors.

I found an opening on the heart and cancer floor,

not knowing at the time  I would understand why.

Working with my patients, seeing how they healed,

and some not. It was becoming so clear now and why.

Sometimes death can be a blessing.

Sometimes death can be a blessing,

a friend of mine, asked me about my parents. I told

him how my Dad was doing and my Mom.  He said

something to me that took me by surprise, I didn't

really want to hear that, but he  is right. It really

hurt to hear it, but deep in my heart, it's quite true.

I knew he meant well with it, it still hurts to hear it.

He said: Sometimes death can be a blessing.

Sometimes death can be a blessing.

Author's Notes: While I was working at the hospital as a

Nurse's Aide,I didn't see it that way.  I saw and viewed death

as a mean cruel monster. Now, I see it so differently . I've

seen death and hear it. I have been with patients that were

passing away. Seen their pain and suffering.  It hurts so

much, but one can understand why they're ready to go.
