Heaven Can't Wait

Heaven Can't Wait
I was sitting here on a fold up chair,
with my feet and legs proped up on the bed,
just resting. Running late getting to bed,
I wasn't really thinking about any certain thing.
And all of a sudden, the words Heaven Can't Wait
came to me. I said out to myself, a title for a poem.
Okay Lord, that's what it will be.
I wasn't really sure what I'd write,
so here it is.
The Lord spoke to me in his own way.

Heaven Can't Wait

Everyone being busy with the days,
Going to and fro everywhere.
Not taking out time for the more important things;
for our Lord. Always make sure your right with,
the Lord, so you'll be sure to go to heaven.
Some people curse you Lord,
forgive for they not know what they're doing.
You have to repent your sins,
give yourself to the Lord, your heart, your love.

Always do good to others, never evil,
you may not have much to give to the Lord.
Or to give to others, your good deeds are
very important too. Not to do evil deeds.
Be kind to people, even thou they're not to you;
it could change someones life.
Ask the Lord to help you to become,
a better person, to worship you better.
To learn how to pray better, pray with people,
to have more faith, to love him.
I pray that I will become better in pray,
praying along with a person or persons.
Teach me to become better and stronger in prayer.
There's alot to learn, we just have to try harder,
work on it.

We can't just jump up and say I'm going to heaven,
you have to repent your sins.
Give yourself to the Lord, praise him,
trust him, just reach out for him.
It's something you have to be willing to work at,
not to be taken for granted. Just to say, well I'm
going to heaven anyway, it doesn't work that way.
You have to earn your way there.
It's up to you, afterall:

Heaven Can't Wait

It took the Sept. 11, 2001,
alot of people came to you Lord.
And some still hasn't.
Lord, it's true, so many don't
know your love and trust.
some don't want to, refuse to.
It's really a shame,
they don't know what they're missing.
Thank you, Lord.
Amen.

About the Poet
I'm married. I am a grandmother. I love poetry, reading and writing it. Someone inspired me to start writing poetry again. That person is my Pastor.
