A Tasty Cold Treat

by Jean Mollett

A tasty cold treat,
it may gross ya out at first.
Many years ago it seems, when I first
saw this done. It was in the summer,
a hot one too. I saw my hubby with some
vanilla ice cream and a cup of coffee.
I thought why in the world would he want
both?? Needless to say I found out
shortly afterwards.

A tasty cold treat,
I got some ice cream too. Sitting there
eating mine and I saw it happen. My hubby
took his coffee and poured it over his vanilla
ice cream. I thought oh man, you're grossing
me out, oh yuck. He laughed, said it's good,
try it. I wouldn't for awhile, I did try it
later sometime. And much to my surprise,
it's soo good, yummy.

A tasty cold treat,
it wasn't long after that, there was
Mocha ice cream. Or Jamaica Almond Fudge,
oh so good too.  So if I take a notion for it,
I just fix it myself. Sure didn't realize
how good it was, 'til I tasted it. Who would
have ever thought? Pouring coffee over
vanilla ice cream was and is soo good.

Author's Note: Here's anothe one for ya. Cantalope with Vanilla ice cream. I've tried it, ya gotta get a taste for it. But it's not that bad. I'd rather have the other.
