Spooky Halloween

by Jean Mollett

October will soon be here.
You can feel Autumn almost
here. Everywhere you look
scary things popping up.
Spooky Halloween.

Some homes were decorated,
early for spooky halloween,
the yards too. Everything
real scary. Reminded me
trick or treaters will be
here soon. Pumpkins will
be seen on porches, in
windows. Scary halloween
cookies to eat. Pumpkins
carved, some painted. Stacks
of hay, witches, black cats,
and other scary things too.
There's a house a couple of
streets over, really scary.
Kids talking about it.
Spooky halloween.

It was a kinda cool night,
a strange fog was coming
thru, making it more scary.
A bunch of children running,
some laughing and others crying.
They just came from the house
a couple of streets over. They
said a live witch was there,
she tried to grab them.
Spooky Halloween.

Spiders scrawling around, big
ones too. Then they heard a
noise coming from the yard, a
low growling sound. There was
something moving towards them.
No on could make out what it was
and didn't waste anytime
finding out. They took off
running as fast as they could.
Let's go to the party.
Spooky Haloween.

At the Halloween party,
kids were having a blast. The
other children heard the stories
flying around about the house.
Everyone was having a great time
at the party. Some kids got scared
after hearing what happened to the
others. Most of the kids have
already been trick or treating.
Others getting ready and going out
the door, for their night of fun.
Spooky Halloween.
